this reminds me of people who say ‘no disrespect’ and then disrespect people. I don’t know the person who made this comment personally but in my best guess this person doesn’t regularly engage in dialogue with black people or understand why black people vote for who they vote for. The implication that black people don’t engage in political thought is disturbing to me, especially if it is our generation that is to change the way our country systematically oppresses people today.
